Second EU-FarmBook Ambassadors’ Reflection and Refresher Workshop
The EU-Farmbook platform, an essential tool for farmers, foresters and consultants, was further developed in Brasov. On February 18-19, 2025, the Highclere Consulting team hosted the second EU-FarmBook Ambassadors Reflection and Refresher Workshop. The event brought together 29 participants to review the immediate goals and discuss the implementation of the upload strategy.
Over the two days, participants explored ways to validate potential end-users and discussed the optimal route to ensure an improved experience on the EU-FarmBook platform. They also discussed the multilingual functionality of the platform, which facilitates access to information for all users across the European Union.
One of the focal points of the meeting was to obtain useful information and discuss contributions from the perspective of the target group – farmers, consultants and foresters. These discussions led to the improvement of the already existing content on the platform and the setting of clear directions for the future.
A special experience for the participants was a visit to HOF Harman – Local Gastronomic Point, where they had the opportunity to discover traditional Romanian dishes and experience the authentic life in a rural household. This visit highlighted the importance of promoting local products and sustainable practices.
The workshop included reflection sessions on the field visit, analyzing the contributions of the practitioners and their value for the platform. The EU-FarmBook and Support Center functionalities were also explored in detail, identifying solutions for optimizing the user experience and improving the upload process.
Through interactive sessions and collaborative brainstorming, participants contributed to the development of strategies to ensure EU-FarmBook’s long-term relevance and impact.
The two days of intense sessions concluded with a clear list of next steps for the Ambassadors to make the platform an accessible and valuable resource for all agricultural and forestry stakeholders. The implementation of an advanced translation function will allow access to materials from all corners of the European Union, facilitating the exchange of knowledge and best practices across Europe.
