At the beginning of 2018, from 22nd to 26th of January, 45 project’s partners meet in Valencia, Spain, to discuss about the first 20 months of their SALSA work, in 10 pioneer regions from Europe and Africa. The discussion revolved around fieldwork, stakeholders’ engagement, data collection, communication. Also a special focus was put on Work Package 4 training about foresight analysis.

Themes like, who small farmers are feeding, who is feeding small farmers, how important is to have a clear and coherent imagine of this “secret world”, why is relevant to spend public money on this, how project results will contribute to food and nutrition services and how policies support or not these category, were actively debated.
