From 21 to 23 April 2026, EU-FarmBook Ambassadors came together in Granollers, Barcelona, for their 3rd Reflection and Refinement Workshop — a key milestone in strengthening collaboration, improving tools, and advancing the platform’s impact across Europe.

Organised in collaboration with the PREMIERE project, the 2.5-day workshop provided a dynamic space for learning, exchange, and co-creation among ambassadors working at the forefront of agricultural knowledge sharing.

Strengthening Technical and Communication Capacity

A major focus of the workshop was enhancing ambassadors’ understanding of ongoing and upcoming technical developments within the EU-FarmBook platform. Participants explored new features and practiced communicating their value effectively to diverse audiences.

At the same time, discussions around communication, dissemination, and exploitation helped refine the EU-FarmBook value proposition. Ambassadors worked on adapting messaging to better suit national, regional, and sector-specific contexts, ensuring stronger engagement with users.

Building Strategic Alliances and Networks

The concept of “Strategic Alliances” was explored in depth, moving from theory to practice. Ambassadors mapped existing partnerships and began shaping a structured approach to building and maintaining these alliances.

The workshop also provided an opportunity to review progress in the adaptive networking framework, with participants sharing practical ideas on how to promote EU-FarmBook and expand its reach across agricultural communities.

Improving Content Quality and Feedback Systems

Sessions dedicated to uploading and quality assurance addressed priorities for project content and knowledge objects, particularly in relation to Horizon Europe multi-actor projects. Participants also explored tools and workflows to improve the visibility and quality of uploaded materials.

A key outcome was the development of a more structured framework for collecting and using feedback, ensuring that insights from users are effectively captured and integrated into platform improvements.

Advancing the Multi-Actor Approach

Capacity building was at the heart of the workshop. Through interactive sessions — including a simulation game led by the PREMIERE project — ambassadors strengthened their skills in the multi-actor approach, stakeholder engagement, and proposal development.

The final day focused on designing high-quality multi-actor proposals, covering everything from consortium building to administrative and financial considerations.

A Stronger Community Moving Forward

Beyond the technical and strategic discussions, the workshop fostered a strong sense of community among ambassadors. By sharing experiences and building mutual understanding, participants reinforced their role as key connectors in the EU-FarmBook ecosystem.

As the project moves forward, the insights and collaborations from Barcelona will play a vital role in enhancing the platform’s impact and supporting innovation in European agriculture.

Stay tuned for more updates from the EU-FarmBook community!
